紅生菜  (Red Leaf Lettuce)

紅生菜,原生於歐洲。味甘但不苦澀,口感爽脆而嫩口。菜色要長得健康、紫紫紅紅的,要在陽光充足下生長。紅色的菜來自花青素,而花青素能顧眼護腦。除了做沙律菜外,紅生菜也可以做葉片包肉,或打邊爐。

 

Red leaf lettuce originated in Europe. It has a semi-bitter flavour, while its texture is crisp. In order for its leaf to grow red, it has to grow under full sun. What makes the lettuce red is anthocyanin, which can benefit the eyes and brian. It is most suitable for salad dishes.
